[Singapore] Intern Investment AnalystLocation: Singapore We are looking for new graduates and interns to work in our Singapore office. Background on Provident: Provident is a business creator and active investor mostly focusing on investing in Indonesia. We have created three multi billion dollar businesses since we began 17 years ago, and we remain large investors in all three companies today. The work is similar in nature and tempo to an investment bank. The team does in-house work for Provident and its investee companies, including business development, M&A, loan financing, debt capital markets (DCM) (USD and IDR), equity capital markets (ECM). We also do efficiency analysis and project management for our investee companies. Proficiency in Indonesian and/or Mandarin is an advantage. Preference for a full-time internship with a minimum of 3 months commitment, or longer is preferred.

[Singapore] Investment AnalystLocation: Singapore We are looking for new graduates and candidates with up to 3 years of work experience to join our Singapore office, with travel expected to Jakarta and other locations within Indonesia. Background on Provident: Provident is an investment group established in 2004 by Winato Kartono, Hardi Wijaya Liong, and Gavin Caudle. Unlike a fund, Provident typically builds businesses from start-up and continues to control and actively manage them indefinitely, with no fixed exit timelines. Provident is involved in various industries, including digital infrastructure (telecom towers, fiber, and data centers), mining and downstream processing (copper, gold, nickel, and battery materials), logistics warehouses, biomass production and trading, and e-commerce. Our activities are primarily based in Indonesia. Provident provides extensive support to its investee companies, including deal structuring, transaction execution, and capital raising. Responsibilities: This role involves working within a team that executes dozens of transactions per year, including M&A (acquisitions and divestitures), joint ventures, senior and mezzanine loans, dollar and rupiah bonds, equity raising, business development, and other ad hoc projects. For certain periods, this role can also involve secondment in the operations of one of Provident’s investee companies. The work is similar in nature and tempo to that of an investment bank. You will work directly with the Head of M&A, the owners of Provident, and a hardworking, professional team including Provident and its investee companies. Specific works performed daily include: Financial analysis, financial modeling, valuation analysis Transaction proposals and other presentation materials Commercial and financial due diligence Transaction documentation and deal structuring Market research Portfolio management including secondment in the operations of an investee company Relationship management with internal stakeholders, portfolio companies, and advisors These roles will be attractive to those seeking a long and stable career and who want to feel part of a fast-growing group with a very long investment horizon and limited bureaucracy. A potential career path for successful team members could be to transition into a senior management role of an investee company. Candidate Requirements: New graduate or up to 3 years of working experience in investment banking, international consulting, corporate finance, or transaction services at an accounting firm. Any background is acceptable as long as you have outstanding academic results and are strong in mathematics. Hardworking and have a high level of integrity. Strong analytical capabilities to process information and understand business models. Solid financial modeling skills with extensive working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Strong attention to detail and a keen sense of ownership of work products and outcomes. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact, liaise and build strong relationships with all levels of management across Provident, its investee companies and other stakeholders. Strong operational, organisation, coordination, and project management skills. Business fluency in English is required. Proficiency in Indonesian or Mandarin will be advantageous but is not essential.

[Jakarta] Junior Funding and Corporate Strategy ProfessionalLocation: Jakarta Provident Capital Partners (“Provident”) is an investment group established in 2004 by three partners, Winato Kartono, Hardi Wijaya Liong and Gavin Caudle. Unlike typical private equity funds, Provident builds businesses from start-up across a variety of industries, including telecommunications infrastructure, mining, e-commerce, biomass, etc., primarily in Indonesia. Provident does not have any fixed exit timelines. A successful candidate for the junior funding and corporate strategy professional role will have a strong analytical and consultative mindset, a good understanding of corporate finance and business development, the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and be self-sufficient while being a team-player. This is a unique position where you will act across multiple product types, mainly in debt and equity market fundraising & corporate strategy and industry verticals, and partner with key teams within Provident as well as at our portfolio companies. This role sits within a lean team based in Jakarta, with frequent travel (primarily to Singapore) expected. Typical responsibilities include, among others: Responsibilities: Prepare financing term sheet, including structuring deal Prepare transaction proposals and other presentation materials Review transaction documents and structuring: loan agreements, bonds prospectus, IPO prospectus, SPA, SHA, etc Assist in KYC process and closing deal: funding, M&A, etc Financial analysis Market research Monitor portfolio companies Assist, support and maintain close relationships with portfolio companies, ecosystem partners and stakeholders Possible to be exposed with financial modelling, valuation analysis and due diligence Candidate requirements: Graduate with a degree in finance, accounting, business or related fields Up to 3 years’ experience in corporate finance, buy-side, strategic consulting, professional financial or law firms Strong interest in and understanding of Indonesia market and business environments Strong analytical capabilities to process information and understand business models Extensive working knowledge of Powerpoint, Excel and Microsoft Word Strong operational, organization, coordination, and project management skills Strong attention to details and keen sense of ownership and drive Demonstrate excellent communication skills with the ability to interact, liaise and build strong relationships with all levels of management across the business Business fluency in English required, knowledge of Bahasa Indonesian and/or Mandarin a plus
